Centennial Christian School

Terrace, BC

Feasibility complete 2021

Centennial Christian School is a K-12 interdenominational school with over 200 students. It has been providing Christian education in Terrace for over 50 years.

With an influx of economic investment in the northern region in the years to come - much of it headquartered in Terrace - the city is projecting a growth in the school age population in the coming years. Centennial Christian School is poised to provide space for many of these children, if the school is able to expand its facilities.

MOTIV has completed a feasibility study to explore options for future development of two available school properties to meet this upcoming need. Consultation included meetings with the board and administration project team to establish the project vision, scope, and enrollment projections. This was followed by meetings with the school staff to better understand how the existing spaces are used, and to develop an accurate program of the existing building and a proposed program for an increased student population that continues to foster a close knit sense of community.

Both new and renovation options were fully explored with forecasted project costing. This has provided a solid foundation for future decision-making by the leadership team.
