Skwachays Lodge and Residence

This week’s gem from the #housingcentral conference is the Skwachays Lodge and Residence in downtown Vancouver.

“Owned and operated by Vancouver Native Housing Society (VNHS), the facility provides 24 shelter rate apartments for Indigenous people at risk of homelessness, and two social enterprises. The top three floors contain 18 boutique hotel units. At street level, the Urban Aboriginal Fair Trade Gallery showcases Indigenous artistic and cultural work.”

Look for the distinctive rooftop sweat lodge and stop in to check out and support their gallery sometime soon!
